my mother and I are studdying to transcribe medical reports. my mother has a windos me computer, and is going to upgrade up to XP. my question is, can she save the dictionary settings in microsoft word to transfer them to the PC. when she gets XP. installed? if so, how do you do it?
I'm not sure which version of Word your mum has but there is usually a dictionary file where your added words are saved. This dictionary file is just a word document with a list of words on separate lines which I *think* is called dictionary.doc and can be edited like any other file. I'm not at home just now but let me know if you want more details and I'll have a look later today or tomorrow.
